This video shows how to do the recommended ABS hydraulic unit operation tests after replacing the Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré brake fluid. This video also shows how to make the jumper needed to power the hydraulic unit (ABS module). Replacing the need to buy the 90890-03149 connector sold by Yamaha. The ABS connector is located under the seat. Hydraulic unit operation tests: The reaction force in the pulsation generated by the brake lever and brake pedal during the ABS activation can be tested with the bike in standstill. The first test verifies the operation of the ABS and the second test generates the same reaction force in the pulsation that is generated by the brake lever and brake pedal when the ABS is activated. The steps given here follow the procedure described in the service manual. The ABS pump should always be tested after the fluid has been changed to remove the old fluid from the hydraulic pump.
