Jagannath swamy temple || Banjara hills || Hyderabad

The Jagannath temple in Hyderabad is a modern temple built by Odiya community of the city of Hyderabad, dedicated to the Hindu God Jagannath. The temple located near Banjara hills , road no 12. This temple is famous for it's annual 'Rathyatra', attended by thousands of devotees. Jagannath means Lord of the universe. It was constructed during 2009. This temple is a replica of original Jagannath temple of 'puri' (odisha) in context of design. The most attracting portion of this temple is it's "shikara" measuring around 70feet in height. The red colour of the temple is due to usage of sandstone, around 600 tonnes were brought it from odisha, which is being used to build this whole architecture. There are shrines dedicated to Lakshmi, along with Shiva , Ganesh, Hanuman and Navagrahas. People who like calm and soothing environment will like this temple. A peaceful place in that busy environment. And one of the cleanest temple in Hyderabad.
