Bees- Varroa Mite- Fipronil poisoning

In NSW Australia the DPI has been killing bees for over a year. Additionally they have been placing Fipronil in the bush and on people's property. Many people are concerned regarding: poisoning of our environment, lack of pollination for crops, killing bees, and loss of income for the small end of town. Note- the Varroa Mite was discovered to have been in NSW 2 years prior to being picked up in 2022. Therefore, the DPI has no actual way of knowing how far and wide the Varroa has spread. Additionally, no country in the world has been able to get rid of the mite. And instead of eradication they manage the hives. There is still no news of when the DPI will turn to a plan of management, or any information on what will inform their decision.
