Shaped by the car-first vision of the 1969 Melbourne Transportation Plan, the suburb grew without the railway it was promised. Today, residents rely on the overworked Route 900 bus, battling congestion every day. In this video, ‪@philipmallis‬, Transport Planner and YouTuber, explores Rowville to answer the big question: Why was the promised railway never built? What would you do if your suburb promised a train line that never arrived?
