Bucyrus-Erie 71B Debut
First showing of the newly acquired 71B, and a look at some of the extensive setup work required. The machine came from an auction, along with a nice restored D7, and an unrestored but running 22B crane. It came with both dragline + shovel fronts. It had been nicely restored, excluding the shovel front, as seen here, but sold for scrap price. The 71B has a 3.5 yd bucket. Book says the engine is a CAT D343T, 6 cyl. Same engine used in the D9's. This one is pony start, obviously has turbo. April 25, 2015 Harry Young Chapter, HCEA Lakeside Sand + Gravel 150425k_71B_Debut
