Vacuum Wood?! (Vacuum Infusing Wood)

Showing off the process I have found that works well for me for using a vacuum pump and chamber and vacuum infusing wood with various colors. Those pieces can then be used in a variety of woodturning projects like goblets, bowls, vases, and in my case I will be using them to make my mugs as well. This is just one of the solutions for vacuum infusing and it is by no means the only way or the “correct” way. Remember to always do your own research and use this video as a jumping off point into the wonderful world of color infusion! This process helps you add a myriad of colors to your palette while keeping the cost of materials down. It isn’t a replacement for more expensive or exotic woods, rather an alternate path one can take to make your projects that much more interesting.
