Chi erano gli Iapigi?

The Iapygians, divided into Daunians, Peuketians and Messapians, were the populations that once inhabited today's region of Apulia (Puglia). Born from the migration of Illyrian peoples who had crossed the Adriatic Sea between the 11th and 10th centuries BC, in their ethnogenesis the Iapygians had also benefited from Mycenaean, Oscan and Ausonian influences.
