Ayodhya is famous as Birthplace of Bhagwan Ram. Ayodhya is also known for many temples, Saryu river and it has significance in Jain Dharam as Ayodhya is also the Birthplace of 5 Tirthankar among total 24. 1st Bhagwan shri Rishabhnath Ji 2nd Bhagwan shri Ajitnath Ji 4th Bhagwan shri Abhinandan nath Ji 5th Bhagwan shri Sumatinath Ji and 14th Bhagwan shri Anantnath Ji In Jainism, a Tirthankarara is a saviour and spiritual teacher of the Dharma, the right path.  The word tirthankara signifies the founder of a tirth which is a fordable passage across the sea of interminable births and deaths, the samsara. A Tirthankara is an individual who has conquered the saṃsāra, the cycle of death and rebirth, on their own, and made a path for others to follow. Tirthankara provides a bridge for others to follow the new teacher In Jain cosmology, the wheel of time is divided in two halves, Utsarpini or ascending time cycle and Avasarpini, the descending time cycle (said to be current now). In each half of the cosmic time cycle, exactly twenty-four tirthankaras grace this part of the universe. There have been an infinite number of tirthankaras in the past time periods.The first tirthankara in this present time cycle is RISHABHNATH JI. Temples are very clean. it seems that very less number of visitors came here but the best part is that Jain temle in city centre provides you complete information and they also provide guidance, guide, and vehicle to visit all the janambhoomi Jain Mandir in a single day. it took only 3 to 4 hours to visit all temples as all are in radius of 6-7 kilometers. we visited these temples on sunday that was a lockdown day due to Covid restrictions in Uttar Pradesh hence our family was the only one in all the temples.
