Painting Lush Greens in gouache

A gouache landscape demonstration focused on painting lush greens using a dry gouache palette. In this sketchbook practice piece, I walk through how I begin, mix greens, and build depth without pressure. This demonstration began as a simple practice study inspired by a reference photo with a beautiful, built-in composition. While I typically work from my own photos, this image felt like a perfect opportunity to explore greens, layering, and color relationships in gouache. Throughout the video, I talk through the process step by step. Photo Credit: Mike Renner. I’m grateful for Mike's generosity and willingness to allow me to use his image for this practice piece and video. sketchbook used for this project I purchased this on Esty from CozyCircleBoutique.
