#mg #mgs6 #ev The MGS6 is the brand’s largest EV to hit UK roads, following in the successful footsteps of the MGS5 and MG4! Chinese brands have made huge waves in the UK, with MG being the top selling Chinese car manufacturer here, The MGS6 aims to be a more premium option, available at a reasonable price. From launch 2 variants options are available: SE Long Range (RWD), Trophy Long Range (RWD) and Trophy Long Range (AWD) (as tested). At 4.7M long the MGS6 is close in size to the ŠKODA Enyaq and KIA EV5, being practical for families, also comfortable and refined on long journeys. The S6 has an official WLTP range of up to 329 miles on the RWD models and 301 miles WLTP on the AWD version. A 77kWh NMC battery is fitted to all models. Priced from £37,995 the MGS6 is good value but perhaps not as cheap as some expected, however there are many new and nearly new models available with huge savings, meaning you can get a Trophy models for closer to £30K! I tested out the smaller MGS5 last year, which also really impressed me and has a lot of similarities with the 6! A similar interior design is carried over as well as much of the tech. Things like the touchscreen facing away from the driver, and the attention monitor were slight annoyances with the car but the premium materials, a good driving experience and plenty of tech prove that MG have come a long way, overall the S6 does a good job being a practical, comfortable, safe family EV.
