I make a homemade firewood processor in the garage from scrap metal. I use a 2.3kw hydraulic wood splitter and an electric chainsaw for that. The saw is a Husqvarna 420EL 2000w. I'm going to move the ice machine with an ATV, so I'll make a mobile version of it. The goal is a cheap firewood machine for home use and I'm not trying to imitate Japa, Hakki, Palax, Pilkemaster, etc. series production machines. In the following parts, I will focus on automatic wood feeding, conveyor and safety issues and testing.
