Boggs Avenue - Summertime (cover) Booker T and the MG's

#instrumental This version of the classic “Summertime” by “Boggs Avenue” resurfaced recently and I wanted to remaster the old tune. This was one of my all time favorites at the time and I wanted to bring this special song from my youth back to life. When “The Surfers” went their separate ways back in ‘68, I joined “Boggs Avenue”. The group consisted of Tim Swafford on organ, Mike Swafford on bass, and Keith “Goose” White on guitar, all from Vonore, TN and Edward Allen from Sweetwater, TN on drums. Before I came to the group and added lead vocals and later guitar, the guys were basically an instrumental group. When I first heard them play this tune I was blown away. I always thought Tim could’ve shown Booker T a thing or two on the Hammond B3. I hope you like the remaster!
