'Amazing Grace' on a huge Basilica Organ!

In this video, I’m playing my Bagpipe-Prelude on “Amazing Grace” on the organ of the beautiful Abbey Basilica of Marienstatt in Germany. For this arrangement, I tried to imitate the sound of bagpipes on the pipe organ. “Amazing Grace” is one of the most beloved hymns in the world and is often connected with that warm, emotional bagpipe sound. Using the colors of the organ, I wanted to recreate this peaceful and moving atmosphere inside the wonderful acoustic of the basilica. The piece begins simply and quietly, almost like a distant bagpipe melody, before the music gradually grows into a fuller and more powerful organ sound.
