Gibson vs. Paramount Banjos: Differences & Similarities

Here is a video I made comparing the differences and similarities between Gibson and Paramount banjos. Both companies borrowed a lot from eachother, and it is fascinating to see them side by side. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Both banjos are from 1925. Both banjos have a 23 inch scale length. The Gibson banjo has an 11” rim diameter The Paramount banjo has an 11 1/8th” rim diameter. The Gibson banjo has an FON of 8061-15. One of the first ~30 Mastertone banjos made. The Paramount banjo has a serial number of 5290, putting it in late 1925. The Gibson banjo has an original Mastertone 2 foot tenor banjo bridge. The Paramount banjo has a handmade two foot bridge (made by me) exactly copied from an original.
