Kto skomponował muzykę do musicalu „1989”? Andrzej „Webber” Mikosz w Studiu Kultura

The guest of Studio Kultura was Andrzej "Webber" Mikosz, best known to listeners as one half of the duo Łona and Webber. The conversation focused primarily on the latest album, for which Webber composed the music: "1989." This is a unique project: "1989" is a musical directed by Katarzyna Szyngiera, winner of the "Passport Polityki" award for theatre. The production – a co-production of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow and the Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre – presents the fall of communism from a new perspective. Familiar events, familiar to some by hearsay, and to others only from history lessons, come to life on stage, seen through the eyes of three couples: the Frasyniuks, the Wałęsas, and the Kuronies. Webber has proven himself as a composer here and has collaborated with numerous performers. Interestingly, he recorded one of the tracks on the album with music from the musical with Łona. The play "1989" is extremely popular, having been performed 150 times to date, and only two years have passed since its premiere (October 2024). Studio Kultura is a joint project of wSzczecinie.pl and Super FM. The interview was conducted by Andrzej Kochański.
