Were you at the hospital !? Dq: Ofcourse I was there. I'm the one who saw the baby before my wife. Interviewer: How was that experience !? Dq: It's a very memorable experience because for the longest time we thought it would be a boy. Interviewer: What made you think like that !? Dq: Some sort of a hint. One of the doctors said everything is looking blue. I was like it's okey. I actually wished for a girl child. Vaapachi too. Because my sister has two boys. I was hoping it would be a girl. When I just looked around the hospital, everywhere it was blue balloons hanging and no pink balloons. I was like its surely a boy child. Okey whatever you get, it is a blessing. But somewhere i was still hoping. Then we went in for surgery. The doctors were all casually talking to each other and i was talking to amaal. Suddenly they were like "Who do you think it is!? Boy or girl !?" We said we know it is a boy child. So then they asked "Why don't you take a look !?" He held the baby up and i quickly peeped in. I had no idea about anything in that situation and i was like haa its a boy. They were like "Dulquer look again". And then i looked....i screamed the hospital down ! I mean the doctors got scared, the nurses got scared. And then i was like wooohhh !!!!! It was full of noises there! Amaal by then was under medication and she was like "MARYAM" and then she closed her eyes. So we decided her name there. Interviewer: So you guys decided the name there itself !? Dq : Yeah. She already had it in her mind that this would be the name if its a girl child. Then I went outside and told everyone like "I TOLD YOU I TOLD YOU". But I didn't announce the thing and I went back! By the time the whole family was like "WHAT WHAT WHAT HAPPENED". Beacuse they just heard me screaming and doing something crazy and then i went back! They understood nothing. Interviewer: You got a story to tell mariyam when she gets older ! Dq: She still loves to hear it. She knows it. She's like "tell me papa tell me the story"
