⚡🔌⇆⛺ Remote Camp - 219km return to French Pass #NRQeCamper

#Trip #Hack #ioniq5 Got range anxiety - Watch this video. On this trip I demonstrate how to prepare for using up to 80% of battery between charges for travel, cooking & heating or cooling & lighting. Total distance was 219km (136 mile). Used 52% Battery, but each additional night of heat/AC would use another 10%. Originally I wanted to go to Moawhitu campsite on D'Urville island, but the 2-vehicle ferry is $5,000, partly as they changed the route which now leaves Nelson, not French Pass. It also meant D'Urville island wasn't a long way from a public charger too. I also didn't realise at the time that French Pass isn't the furthest place in the northern Marlborough Sounds, it's actually Bulwar which is an extra 15km. I would have gone there if I knew. I use the car tent for the first time on this trip.    • ❌TRIP ABORTED❌: Lost Keys & Rain Problems ...      • Solo car camping at Te Nohoaka, Sinclair W...   ☕ Want to help in the creation of these videos?
