In response, Hung Tzu-yung's husband, New Taipei City Councilor Cho Kuan-ting, posted a rebuttal yesterday (3rd), pointing out that Hung Tzu-yung had just suffered a miscarriage, which was known to the entire party caucus, but she still endured her physical discomfort and insisted on participating in the protest until 4 a.m. on the last day. Subsequently, Taipei City Councilor Miao Po-ya also publicly supported Hung Tzu-yung, questioning Huang Kuo-chang's attempt to create a tragic hero image by belittling his former comrades. Miao stated that Hung Tzu-yung, after her miscarriage, still accompanied everyone in the cold and rain at Ketagalan Boulevard protest, and should not be described so negatively. She bluntly stated: "Is it necessary to trample on others like this to elevate yourself? To create a tragic hero image, is it necessary to portray a woman who fought alongside you, who had just suffered a miscarriage at 35, and who accompanied you in the rain at temperatures over ten degrees Celsius, as so negatively?"
