Wake-Up Call: The Critical Failure That Could Have Been VERY BAD (25)

Engineers get up to 6 months Onshape Professional for free.https://www.onshape.pro/ExpeditionEng... Having a broken furler could lead to a serious catasrophe. And honestly we got lucky that it didn't cause any other major problems, like chaffing through the headstay and losing the mast. Dramatic, but possible I suppose! Replacing the furler meant having a new one flown in, thanks Makers Air. All it cost to have it flown in was an arm and a leg and all the install cost my last 2 brain cells. I failed to mention in the video...I got this furler on eBay for $200, and BRAND NEW! They normally sell for $1200+ and take weeks to ship. Thanks to that random seller in Alaska who had just what I needed. 📷 Find Us Elsewhere   / expedition.engineering   🧭 Want to support us?   / expeditionengineering   ⚙️ Our Gear Main Camera: https://amzn.to/3csaFjz Main Lens: https://amzn.to/3cwZRkl Microphone: https://amzn.to/3iSDGoV Go Pro: https://amzn.to/324dq43 Drone: https://amzn.to/2Yf3X8S Laptop: https://amzn.to/3h9ydcL 🔑 Keywords / SEO boat refit, diy sailboat, sailing couple, sailboat restoration, sailing vlog
