Trigun Stargaze AMV - Brother's Final Stand [Desucon 2026]

But once the award categories were revealed I realized my idea didn't fit any of them so I decided to scratch that one and save it for another time. I did know I wanted to convey the power struggle of the two brothers but other than that wasn't sure what to go for. I almost gave up the idea of making this into a musical video as well (one of the award categories) but then I started to re-listen some of the EPIC The Musical songs and this just hit for me. It was perfect for Vash and Knives as God-like otherworldly beings. Vash acts as the main singer while Knives is cast as the other. I especially tried to pay attention to the lip sync and get it to match with theirs so you'd easily understand who's supposed to be who. Their clashing ideals are the focus of this video but I also wanted to introduce their closest allies in storytelling but trying to avoid it getting confusing with too many characters introduced so I settled for Wolfwood and Legato and for the sake of the lyrics very briefly Elendira. Even though story is highly important in this video as well as it following the song lyrics I didn't want to include typography in it. This is because I do believe an old saying "A picture is worth a thousand words". One word tells just that - one word. Hope you like it! My first Trigun Stargaze video, yay! ♥ - - In Finnish / suomeksi: ★ Desucon 2026 AMV-kilpailun finalisti Minulla oli alun perin erilainen idea Triguin Stargaze videoon jonka halusin tehdä Desuconin AMV-kilpailuun. Mutta kun palkintokategoriat kerrottiin, tajusin että ideana ei oikeastaan sopinut yhteenkään niistä, joten päätin palata takaisin piirustuspöydän ääreen ja säästää alkuperäisen idean toiseen kertaan. Tiesin että haluan kertoa tarinan veljesten valtataistelusta mutta muilta osin en ollut varma mihin suuntaan lähteä. Olin vähällä luovuttaa sen suhteen, että tekisin tästä myös musikaalivideon (yksi palkintokategorioista) mutta sitten aloin uudelleen kuunnella joitakin EPIC The Musical'in kappaleita ja tämä vain osui. Se oli täydellinen Vashille ja Knivesille toismaallisille jumalolennoille. Vash toimii pääasiallisena laulajana ja Knives taas on roolitettu pienempään rooliin. Yritin erityisesti kiinnittää huomiota huulisynkkaan ja saada sen osumaan toimivasti, jotta ymmärtäisi helposti ketkä tarinassa toimivat narratoijina. Idealistisesti poikkeavat näkemykset toimivat tämän videon fokuksena, mutta halusin myös esitellä kummankin päähenkilön taustajoukot, pitäen kuitenkin hahmokaartin kohtuullisena jotta se ei sotkisi tarinankerrontaa. Päädyin täten sisällyttämään videoon Wolfwoodin ja Legaton sekä lyriikoiden osalta pienesti Elendiran. Vaikka tarinan ja lyriikoiden ymmärtäminen onkin videon toimivuuden kannalta tärkeää en halunnut sisällyttää videoon typografiaa. Uskon edelleen vanhaan sanontaan "kuva kertoo enemmän kuin tuhat sanaa". Se yksi sana kertoo vain sen yhden. Toivottavasti tykkäsit!
