The Middle East is witnessing new tense developments as Iran and the US continue to retaliate against each other. The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has just confirmed attacking a series of US facilities in six countries in the region. This is a response to a series of intense US airstrikes against Iran, causing numerous casualties. According to the IRGC's statement, its missiles and drones attacked, hitting and destroying two US radar stations located in Salameh Rocks and Ghanem in Oman. Notably, the IRGC also claimed to have attacked US targets in Syria, specifically the US military's operational command center at al-Tanf base, near the Syria-Iraq-Jordan border trijunction. This marks the first time in the clashes that erupted on the night of July 11th that Iran has attacked US facilities in Syria. The IRGC asserted that this attack was in retaliation for the US Air Force bombing of the Iranshahr region in southern Iran, which killed several soldiers. Previously, the IRGC also claimed to have attacked US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Jordan in response to the US military's offensive. Thus, in this latest retaliatory strike, Iran has expanded its attacks to six countries.
