Welcome back to Bass Tackle Shop! This week we headed to Tappan Lake in eastern Ohio to cover another local bass tournament and see how the summer fishing pattern is starting to develop. The day started calm, but as the sun got higher the bite became tougher and boat traffic increased across the lake. Several different techniques produced fish throughout the day, including: • Hybrid Hunter crankbait • Deep diving crankbaits • Drop shot finesse fishing Urchin Baits The tournament proved just how challenging the conditions were, with only 11.68 pounds needed to win the event after a brutal rain event in the area.
