AUDIENCIA, EXTRADICIONES Y NUEVAS REVELACIONES. LA PUNTA DEL ICEBERG. EPISODIO 12
In this twelfth episode of the investigative journalism special "The Tip of the Iceberg," we analyze the new elements that have emerged during the preliminary hearing in the Magnicide FV case, a stage that continues to reveal how the murder of Fernando Villavicencio was allegedly planned, carried out, and subsequently covered up. We examine the forensic chat logs that reportedly show the efforts made by Daniel Salcedo and Ronal Herrera to meet with Juan Fernando Petro, brother of the President of Colombia, with the aim of seeking possible asylum and offering the services of the so-called Banco del Bello, a structure that, according to the evidence presented in court, was allegedly used for money laundering operations. We also analyze the attempts to interfere with the judicial process, including the pressure exerted to alter testimonies, the failed hearings that delayed key proceedings, and the new indications of coordination among several of the defendants to obstruct the progress of the investigation. In addition, we reviewed the extradition requests for Xavier Jordán and Ronny Aleaga, the Spanish court's rejection of the extradition request for alias "Pipo" to the United States, and the implications these decisions have for the Magnicide case and other proceedings related to organized crime structures. Finally, we shared an important decision in our search for truth and justice: the beginning of a new phase in the private prosecution, reaffirming that, despite threats, harassment, and attempts at intimidation, our commitment remains unwavering. This episode is part of the journalistic special "The Tip of the Iceberg," an investigation that seeks to understand not only who carried out the crime, but also who planned, financed, coordinated, protected, and continues to seek impunity. Hosted by: Amanda Villavicencio Tamia Villavicencio Arduino Tomasi Special thanks to Radio Sucesos for providing this space for investigative journalism, remembrance, and the search for truth and justice. The murder of Fernando Villavicencio represents the convergence of multiple criminal, narco-political, and transnational power structures that found common ground in silencing him. #ForFernandoNobodyTires
