Slow Stitching a Vintage Brooch | Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery Vol 10 | Ep 2

In this video, I continue working on my first prompt for Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery Vol. 10, where we are creating an embellished slow stitch garment. The first prompt is brooch, and in this second part I keep building my slow stitched brooch with layers of vintage fabric, lace, texture, hand stitching and little embellishments. I love how this project is becoming a tiny textile story of its own — something that can eventually be added to my garment as a special handmade detail. This series is all about slow stitching without rushing, using treasured scraps, vintage textiles and simple hand stitches to create something full of character and meaning. In this video I’m working on: 🪡 adding more layers 🧵 choosing stitches and textures 🤎 using vintage fabrics and lace ✨ slowly building the brooch into a finished embellishment 👗 thinking about how it will sit on my slow stitched garment I hope this inspires you to look through your own scraps and create a stitched brooch of your own.
