NHLBI ICTR Short Video #1, Single Arm Trials
Single arm studies are used to conserve resources and facilitate enrollment, particularly in rare diseases, where the available number of participants is limited. In this short video Dr. Anna McGlothlin will discuss these trade offs and introduce possible innovative alternatives to single arm studies, such as statistical borrowing of historical information in a randomized study. This video has been funded in whole or in part with Federal funds from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, under Contract No.HHSN268201800008I.
