1964 Evinrude 9.5HP Various Repairs
I bought a few small outboard motors that didn’t run and I am working through the repairs. This is the 1st part of a 2 part video on the 9.5HP Evinrude. It’s the 1964 Model 9422S. In this video I built a rack on my bench to mount the motors, replaced a couple fuel hoses, cleaned the carburetor, checked spark and compression, fixed the gas tank, replaced the fuel pump, cleaned it up a bit inside and get it started. Then I learned the lower unit had issues. That will be part 2. I also tried out a new ultrasonic parts washer from Vevor that was the cheapest 6L washer on Amazon.
