Paper flower crafting with Winnie from Mayo Travellers Support Group

Paper flower crafting is an important part of Traveller culture and represented the only source of income that traditionally a Traveller women could call her own. Winnie, one of the HSE Primary Healthcare Workers with Mayo Travellers Support Group shows us how to make the flowers whilst telling us what it was like growing up as a Traveller in years gone by. This project was supported by the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme #SICAP which is delivered by Mayo North East in the West Mayo/Belmullet and Ballina Municipal Districts.
