Marcha da Ribeira de Frades – Nova Geração | MARCHAS POPULARES DE COIMBRA 2026

Tradition, music, color, and joy once again take over the streets of downtown Coimbra! Watch the 2026 Coimbra Popular Marches live, one of the most emblematic events of the Popular Saints festivities in the city. This year, around 600 to 700 marchers, distributed among 12 groups, will parade through the main streets of downtown, celebrating popular culture, community involvement, and Coimbra's identity. A large crowd is expected to celebrate one of the city's most beloved cultural events. The Coimbra Popular Marches are organized by the Coimbra City Hall, the Union of Parishes of Coimbra, and the Agency for the Promotion of Downtown Coimbra (APBC), with the aim of valuing the traditions associated with the Popular Saints festivities, revitalizing downtown Coimbra, and supporting local businesses.
