The State Fisheries Agency responded to a post published in the Facebook community "Reports from fishing. Forum of fishermen of Kamianechchyna", which caused a significant public outcry among fishermen and concerned citizens. The publication contained statements regarding the possible use of nets in the Dniester River water area, as well as threats to citizens in case of interference or reporting of alleged violations. In order to verify the information provided, inspectors of the Chernivtsi Fish Protection Patrol conducted raids on the specified section of the Dniester. During the inspection of the water area, prohibited fishing gear, in particular nets, were not found. The Fish Protection Patrols of the State Fisheries Agency continue to monitor compliance with environmental legislation and respond to appeals and signals from citizens regarding possible violations in the field of fisheries.
