This product is a very reliable and stable DMX to USB interface that is used for controlling your DMX fixtures via a software of your choice on your computer. The popularity of this product has made it a best seller for a number of years. After being one of the best DMX to USB interfaces in the market for a long time, a second version of the DMX to USB interface that everybody loves came out. Enttec called it the Enttec Pro Mk2. The new version features a vast variety of differences. Some of the main differences include a 2 DMX universe capacity for a total of 1024 DMX channels. Rather than the 1 universe that comes with the regular Enttec DMX USB Pro. The Mk2 comes with a DB15 breakthrough cable that translates to DMX 3-pin and it you can have 1 DMX in, and 1 DMX out at the same time. The video says it has a DB9 connector but it was a mistake. It is fully compatible with Midi and you can buy a cable that Enttec calls the flying harness so you can directly plug in Midi and have full control over your fixtures through Midi board. It also has an aesthetically slim-profile with a CNC machined aluminum box. Another difference is the faster microprocessor that the Mk2 features. Being half the size of the regular pro, the Mk2 is a lot faster than the previous unit. The best part of it all is that the Mk2 has a small price difference of only about $50 dollars. You will get a whole universe and all of these great features for a small price difference and you'll be more than satisfied with this product.
