Would you like to travel through summer in Japan? In this video, we visit 7 beautiful summer places that can be enjoyed as a day trip from Osaka. A cool waterfall with the sound of clear water. An old post town with a quiet atmosphere. Summer flowers along Lake Biwa. A highland view, a cool cave, and a mountain escape from the summer heat. This trip is about quiet and beautiful summer scenery, just a short drive from Osaka. At Uriwari Falls in Wakasa, Fukui, we enjoy clear spring water selected as one of Japan’s famous waters, and the cool air deep in the forest. Nearby, we visit Kumagawa-juku, an old post town along the Wakasa Saba Kaido route. In Shiga, we visit summer flowers near Lake Biwa, a highland resort with a wide lake view, a naturally cool cave, and Mount Ibuki, where the air feels cooler even in summer. You do not have to travel far. Even on a day trip from Osaka, you can find beautiful scenery that only appears in summer.
