Present Simple & Present Continuous: Using the Right Tense | EasyTeaching
A common mistake English learners make is mixing up the present simple and present continuous tenses. Present simple is used for things that are generally true and permanent. Present continuous is used for things that are are happening right now and for temporary situations. Present continuous is used with dynamic verbs, not stative verbs.
