HHN 35 Just Dropped Its First Scare Zone... And This One Has My Attention

Halloween Horror Nights just fired the starting pistol. Universal has officially announced the first scare zone for HHN 35 Orlando, and if you're a fan of Jack the Clown, Dr. Oddfellow, and the twisted mythology they've been building over the years, this one's shaping up to be a great way to kick off the night. The new scare zone is Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, and it'll greet guests right at the front of the park. According to Universal's description, Jack and Dr. Oddfellow invite you to "step right up" for a sinister spectacle decades in the making. If you've followed these icons over the years, this feels like exactly the kind of opening statement HHN needed. At this point we've got: 8 haunted houses announced The new stage show revealed Our first scare zone Still no Frequent Fear ticket release date That last one is the one I'm watching like a hawk. If you're planning on buying Frequent Fear with Express, don't wait. Last year's premium passes disappeared almost immediately. The second those tickets go live, you want to be sitting at your computer ready to click. I'll post the moment I hear anything. I'm also curious where the remaining announcements go from here. Personally, Universal's original houses usually end up being my favorites. They aren't limited by an existing movie or TV franchise, and the creative team can build something completely insane from the ground up. That creative freedom often produces some of the most memorable experiences in the event. One thing I'd really love to see is the scare zones return to being major attractions in their own right. Years ago they felt alive and unavoidable. Lately they've sometimes felt more like scenery than experiences. Hopefully HHN 35 changes that. What do you think?
