It's not utopian to talk about the transfer of wealth. Ecclesiastes 5:19-20 states that the Lord grants us riches, enables us to enjoy them, and fills our hearts with joy. In Genesis, in the life of Abraham, for example, we find a reference to the transfer of wealth. Abraham's act of obedience to God brought the blessing that is already available for our lives. Biblical prosperity is not by chance, it is not a selective privilege, it is not designated for specific individuals. When we encounter open paths, opportunities before us, we cannot see them merely as God's favor, but rather as a covenant that was made long before. Biblical prosperity is a covenant that the Lord established with Abraham and is not based on human stability, but on God's faithfulness. The purpose of biblical prosperity is to raise up witnesses on earth so that God's nature may be seen and recognized throughout the world. God wants to make evident what He did in Abraham's life in our lives.
