Did Hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc Ruin Chamonix's Ice Cave for Us?
After finishing our Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) trek, we thought we had one more mountain adventure left in Chamonix… The plan was simple: have a hearty breakfast, take the cable car, do one last hike, enjoy the views, and make the most of our final days before heading home. Except… we forgot one very important thing. Get your cable car tickets early 😅 So our plans changed completely and we ended up taking Chamonix's famous little red train to visit the Montenvers Ice Cave instead. And well… let's just say our thoughts were a little different from what we expected. After spending almost 2 weeks hiking through some of the most incredible scenery in the Alps, being close to glaciers, mountains and quiet trails every day, this experience felt… different. If you're planning a trip to Chamonix or doing the Tour du Mont Blanc, hopefully this gives you another perspective before deciding how to spend your rest days. And stay tuned because in the next episode, we're sharing one of our favourite discoveries in Chamonix - the local farmers market (which we think deserves way more attention 👀) 📍 Places in this video Chamonix Montenvers Train Mer de Glace Ice Cave If you enjoyed this video, please like, subscribe and join us for more hiking adventures and accidental travel detours Timestamps: 0:00 Introduction 00:52 Breakfast 05:02 Montenvers Train 06:28 Mer de Glace 09:57 Our thoughts
