RETRO Three Wheeler Garapan Lulut Retro Teruji Dihajar Driving Kustomfest Ride & Drive 2021

The vibrant motorcycle customization scene in Indonesia, particularly in Yogyakarta, has refused to remain dormant, even amidst the pandemic. New custom motorcycles featuring a variety of modification styles have emerged. One such example is the "Retro Three Wheeler," a three-wheeled vehicle inspired by the Boeing-Stearman military training aircraft. Lulut Wahyudi, also known as Lulut Retro, a custom builder at Retro Classic Cycles, revealed that the initial idea for the Retro Three Wheeler stemmed from his passion for aircraft. His inspiration came from the Boeing-Stearman open-cockpit biplane, built in the United States in the 1930s and 1940s. Looking at the exterior of the Retro Three Wheeler, Lulut designed the body shape to resemble a sidecar motorcycle attached to the main motorcycle. However, on the Retro Three Wheeler, the bodywork is a single rider-mounted vehicle that accommodates the large 80 cubic inch (1340cc) Harley-Davidson Evolution engine at the front. The chassis is simple yet extremely rigid, with the entire body made of aluminum, making it extremely lightweight. The interior compartments are also made of aluminum.
