Bikepacking Across Florida - St. Augustine to St. Petersburg Part 2

This video is part two of a two part series. We have always wanted to ride across Florida, but just never have done it. There are multiple ways to cross Florida. There is the traditional East to West route that is all on paved roads and the most direct coming in at 170ish miles. There is a newer mostly paved bike trail route also runs horizontally that is a little longer around 240 miles. Of course we had to ride the hardest mainly offroad route developed by The Singletrack Samurai called the "Spanish Trail" that meanders more diagonally across Florida. This ride starts in St. Augustine in the shadow of the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument (Spanish for “St. Mark’s Castle”) which is the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States, and meanders it’s way across Florida ending 514 miles later at Fort Desoto State Park (another old masonry fort) just south of St. Petersburg.
