We go through how to check and modify the direct drum for a 200-4r transmission. We’ll see how to measure the clearance and where to do it. We’ll also measure the outside diameter of the drum to make sure it’s in spec and check the surface condition. Then we’ll go ahead and resurface it with a special technique that doesn’t require a machine shop. We’ll also review the bushings and step through how to remove them.
