We discover brighter, clearer layouts (many openings have been added and/or enlarged) and far more careful finishing - overall, it is undeniably more welcoming. The sail plan has remained faithful to that of the 50, which translates into unchanged speed potential. With 15 knots of wind during our downwind run off Groix, the 52.2 #1 sold to a couple of Americans managed an average of 8.5 knots upwind (55° from the actual wind).
