Nappanee, Indiana
Nappanee is a city in Elkhart and Kosciusko Counties in the state of Indiana. Prior to 1800 Nappanee was home to the Miami and Pottawatomi Indians. In 1830 the first white settlers came to the area and by 1870 there were seven farms and population was growing. The major growth would come with the B&O Railroad in 1874. Downtown has many retail shops, restaurants and pubs. The Barnes at Nappanee is a big tourist attraction followed by matinee performance in the rustic Round Barn Theatre.
