Vivobarefoot hiking sandals- tracker Ora sandal. As an avid hiker/ outdoor lover I’ve got to say these sandals are a win. 5mm soles allowing you to feel the ground as you walk. 0 drop, meaning the heal and toe height are the same! This is huge for our posture and our foot, ankle and hip health. As a personal trainer who has trained many senior clients who have had joint replacements and suffer with balance control and posture. I can see pretty clear most of our issues start at the feet 🦶. We should not cram out toes into a shoe, the wide toe box allows you to actually use all your toes to help you balance. Barefoot shoes are nonnegotiable for my husband and I at this point in life. I wish I understood the importance of proper shoes a long time ago. As someone who has collapsed ankles and scoliosis…. Building back proper foot strength, and using the muscles correctly have greatly improved my balance and posture. I use to be obsessed with vans until I started having toe nail issues, then I found Hoka .. ya most of us know Hoka, most having a wide toe box but with the huge amount of padding not only hurts our balance, connection with the ground but also our hip posture positioning us forward.
