Suffering Servant in a Single Stroke by Jake Weidmann
The artistic tradition of Christ portraiture confounds the mind in Weidmann’s own painstaking contribution. In this masterpiece, the portrait begins on the nose and gradually spirals around itself 175 times. Contours of the face and varying line thickness are profoundly established at the tip of one of Jake’s handmade pens, which uses a pressure system to create line densities. Shadows and ripples create an image reminiscent of wood grain—a material not unfamiliar with the ways of patience. Limited edition artwork available at JakeWeidmann.com
