How to improve sequential segmental analysis on fetal heart - with Prof. Dr. Julene Carvalho
At the ISUOG 2020 virtual congress, we asked Prof. Dr. Julene Carvalho, a renowned expert in fetal heart ultrasound scanning from London (UK) to talk about how sequential analysis of the fetal heart can be improved. First highlighting how good image quality is the basis to look at the anatomy, we're then going beyond the routine protocol and focus on what Colour Modes can do to improve our understanding of the three cardiac segments: the atria, the ventricles and the arterial trunks, and their connections. With examples and some abnormal cases, Prof. Carvalho demonstrates how seeing detail helps to put the puzzle pieces together towards making a correct diagnosis.
