As a retired captain, I, Effiong Eyo, believe Nigerians are unaware of the intricacies within the government. In my opinion, President Tinubu's actions suggest he is not weak, but rather, he faces significant challenges. Every Nigerian president, in my view, has limitations to their power. I retired from the army because I felt disconnected from its mission. I think there's a powerful group influencing the government and the nation. The First Lady's comments on the US airstrikes in Sokoto imply a lack of control, in my understanding. I question why the Army Generals seem hesitant to act without external direction, and I wonder if they fear repercussions from a particular individual. Similarly, the order to assist Benin Republic raises questions about the decision-making process and who holds actual power.
