The Eight Aiswaryas (Divine Powers) अष्ट सिद्धि 1. Anima (Minuteness): The power to become smaller than the smallest atom. Sri Yukteswar relates this to the spiritual ability to perceive the divine presence within the tiniest creation.  2. Mahima (Magnificence): The power to become larger than the largest. This represents the capacity of the soul to expand and encompass the entire universe or cosmic consciousness.  3. Laghima (Lightness): The power to become lighter than the lightest. This is often associated with the ability to levitate or be free from the gravitational pull of material attachment and physical laws. 4. Garima (Heaviness): The power to become heavier than the heaviest. This signifies an immovable spiritual weight or stability that cannot be shaken by external forces. 5. Prapti (Acquisition): The power to obtain anything desired, even things that are distant or seemingly impossible to reach. It implies the ability to access any part of creation instantly through will. 6. Prakamya (Willpower): The power of irresistible will or desire. This allows the yogi to enter into any body or to have their wishes fulfilled without obstruction. 7. Ishita (Supremacy): The power of lordship or supremacy over the elements and nature. The yogi becomes a controller of natural forces rather than being controlled by them. 8. Vashita (Subjugation): The power to subjugate or control all beings and elements.
