The Route des Grandes Alpes. That road that crosses the Alps! I set out to drive half of it, passing through the Col de la Colombière, the Col des Aravis, the Col des Saisies, the Col du Télégraphe, the Col du Galibier, and the Col du Lautaret! And I would have had a wonderful time on those beautiful Alpine roads! But near Bordeaux, I'm heading west, and yes, I have to get back...
