Welcome back to the Judith Plains Montana Farm Timelapse. We continue the large-scale sugar beet harvest that began in the previous episode. The entire harvesting system is already in place and operating efficiently. Three tractors equipped with trailed sugar beet harvesters move across the field in formation, lifting the crop and loading it directly into transfer trailers. Supporting the harvest are three tractors equipped with transfer trailers and three trucks with high-capacity trailers. As the transfer trailers fill with sugar beets, the crop is unloaded into the trucks and transported to the sugar factory for processing. The receiving hoppers at the factory are continuously supplied with fresh beets, keeping sugar production running at full capacity. One of the most interesting aspects of this operation is that it is managed entirely by a single player. Using the Follow Me mod, multiple machines work together as a coordinated harvesting convoy. The lead tractor sets the route while the remaining vehicles automatically follow and perform their assigned tasks. Throughout the episode, we demonstrate the complete workflow of a modern large-scale sugar beet harvest—from digging and transport to factory delivery—showing how automation and careful machine organization can significantly increase productivity on Judith Plains. As the trucks continue their trips between the field and the factory, the harvest progresses steadily and the sugar production chain receives a constant supply of raw materials.
