EL ACUEDUCTO DE SEGOVIA - CLIP

THE AQUEDUCT OF SEGOVIA - CLIP Clip taken from the full video:    • ¿Quién hizo el acueducto de Segovia?   In 1072, Al-Mamun, king of the Taifa of Toledo, destroyed part of what remained of the aqueduct in the attack he launched against Segovia. In the 11th century, Alfonso VI, shortly after the Christian conquest of Segovia, used many of the ashlars from the ruins of the aqueduct to reinforce the walls. Alfonso X the Wise ordered the reconstruction of the aqueduct in the 13th century, with the aim of using it again as a water conduit, although everything indicates that with little success. Also the Catholic Monarchs at the end of the 15th century and beginning of the 16th century carried out a major repair, built the Cacera Real to bring water to the city and even prohibited traffic along its final section. Subsequently, multiple interventions have taken place, mainly at the beginning of the 17th century, at the end of the 19th century and in the 20th century.
