Backyard Volleyball: D1 vs D3 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

THE 2024 BACKYARD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IS HERE... The @Volleyball Guys return to Season 2 with a 3-part, star-studded series. For the first time in the history of sports, the NCAA Division 1 and Division 3 National Champions in the same sport from the same year, will be competing to crown the ultimate champion. In our next 2 videos, the hosts, the @Volleyball Team will take their shot at both national champions. The 2024 Division 1 National Champions, UCLA, are spearheaded by Boston-native, Jaidin Russell. He is teaming up with the talk of the transfer portal, looking for his first NCAA ring, Cam Thorne. Their third teammate and setter for the match is 2023 VolleyballMag Fab 50 middle blocker, Spencer Graves. The 2024 Division 3 National Champions, Cal Lutheran, will be competing with the 3 starting pin hitters from the championship squad. The outside hitters: Ben Weber and Jordan Cooper, and the opposite: Michael Stahl. All 3 are returning to CLU for the 2025 season. This series of matches will be 3 v 3, best of 5 sets, with sets being played to 11 points. We’ve also added a new twist to Season 2 of backyard volleyball that demands if a player misses their serve, they must spend time in the penalty box. A player may not leave the penalty box until their teammates side-out and win a point.
