In an interview with Tribunnews on Tuesday evening (June 2, 2026), Sony admitted to receiving numerous reports regarding individuals impersonating him. According to Sony, these individuals offered SPPG points under his name. Therefore, he urged residents who were victims to immediately report them to law enforcement. Sony emphasized that he never sold SPPG points. He even said he was prepared to swear on the Quran to prove his statement. "By Allah, I never sold anything. Please bring the 30 chapters of the Quran, keep it above my head, I swear," said Sony. Sony also denied allegations of corruption within the National Civil Service Agency (BGN). He claimed that all procurement processes were carried out according to procedure. However, a few hours after this statement, the Attorney General's Office named Sony Sonjaya a suspect in an alleged corruption case related to irregularities in the management of the Free Nutritious Meals program.
